Jeremy Berger was born and raised in Iowa's historic Amana Colonies in South Amana. Graduating high school in 1991, he attended the University of Iowa and majored in Elementary Education.

Jeremy has been a professional educator since 1995. He taught ten years at his alma mater, Clear Creek-Amana, before moving to Illinois in 2006. He has been teaching technology and STEM there for the past seventeen years.

A Century of Amana Life: Echoes of Elise is his first published work.
